The “Sunrise Taj Mahal Tour” is a variant of our “Same Day Agra Tour”. If you want to witness the breathtaking Taj Mahal while the sun appears in the early morning and then visit the city of Agra, this tour is what you need!

Sunrise Taj Mahal Tour

The Taj Mahal:

The Taj Mahal, a symbol of the endless love of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved third wife, Mumtaz, will naturally be the first and most memorable stop of your visit. It will be even more impressive with the sunrise as a background. During the tour, you will also have time to thoroughly visit the white-marble mausoleum and take pictures.

After the visit to the Taj Mahal during the sunrise, you will have the opportunity to also visit – according to your preferences :

Agra Fort:

Agra Fort, his old castle made out of red sandstones was built between 1565 and 1573 by the Mughal Emperor Akbar and was the main residence of Mughal Emperors for almost a century.

Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daula:

Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daula, also known as « Baby Taj Mahal »: this mausoleum was built by the then Mughal Emperor Jahangir’s wife, Nur Jahan, for her father. It is said to have served as a draft for the Taj Mahal, built later, and that’s why it is often called Baby Taj Mahal

You will be picked up in Delhi the evening before with a comfortable AC car which will bring you to Agra. The sunrise happens around 6 am in the morning. It is, therefore, more convenient if you spend the night in Agra and are already on the spot to start the tour.

Throughout the day, you will be guided by an experienced English speaking guide, native of Agra, who will make sure that you won’t miss any exclusive anecdote of the secret of the city. You will then be brought back to Delhi in the evening, to the drop-off location of your choice and your Taj Mahal Sunrise Tour ends here.

The exact details and program have naturally to be discussed according to your wishes, your travel plans, and your time constraints (hotel of the star category of your choice, time and precise pick-up location, etc…).

Please Note: In the morning, the opening time of the Taj Mahal is not fixed because it totally depends on the time of the sunrise.
